Today we share the beautiful wedding of Amelia and Sean with you. Genevieve from BLAW Photography (now known as Geneviève Fundaro Photography) captured every moment of their special day!
But first, a little bit more about the talented lady behind the lens: When I’m Photographing a moment, It’s like capturing eternity in a single second because you get to relive that short moment in time over and over again, it’s the enchanted story of my couples, a moment in its purest form, the laugh that wrinkles your nose, the touch that makes your eyes sparkle and the kiss that leaves you wanting more, it’s the simplicity of that moment that I always seek to Capture. It’s telling your love story through beautiful images, that’s what BLAW Photography seeks to bring to a client. I LOVE my Job, I am so privileged and blessed to have a job where I get to capture beautiful moments and I’m excited to know that with every wedding and shoot I do I learn a little more, see more and become more of the person God intended me to be!
Choosing your photographer is always a tricky part in the wedding planning process. How did you decide on BLAW Photography? I knew Genevieve from church and decided to check out her Facebook page. I liked the style of her photos. She also took our engagement photos, and they were amazing!
What was the “theme” of your wedding? We had a very relaxed/cozy wedding. There wasn’t a distinct theme, but if I must say: modern with a few hearts here and there.
Were any of your family members or friends involved in the wedding and what were their contributions? Yes, my husband’s family helped set up the venue, my dad contributed financially. And our friends helped with all the odds and ends needed to make the day a success!
Did your wedding preparations include any DIY projects? Yes, for our thank-you gifts to the guests, we filled consol-note-jars with sweets, and I decided to paint hearts on them, it took me hours!
You had a beautiful dress! Tell us more about the designer, the fit, elements you loved, etc. I bought my dress from Pink Chilly Bridal and the moment I saw it, I knew it was “The One”. It was tight fitting on top, with detailed beading and I loved the soft netting that came out in the skirt.
What were the highlights of your wedding day? The highlights of my wedding day were the fact that I was marrying my best friend. Also getting together with family and friends to celebrate it was such a blessing.
Did anything unexpected happen? Yes! I was supposed to get married at 15:30, and I was on time and on my way to the church when my (soon to be) husband phoned and told me that I shouldn’t come yet, because his parents weren’t there yet! They got lost on their way to the church, so I had to drive around the block for another half an hour!
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently? No, except to have a spare pair of comfortable shoes (like cute pumps) to put on after the formalities, because my feet were so sore after wearing heels all day!
