Sandton Convention Centre Wedding Venue

Today we feature the work of durban photographer Dionne Swart. This beautiful silver and purple wedding took place at the Sandton Convention Centre wedding venue. Letaria told us a bit more about their special day.

Choosing your photographer is always a tricky part in the wedding planning process, how did you decide on Dionne Swart as your photographer? 

When we met with Dionne and Liz it was love at first sight! Their personalities and approach to photography was amazing. Nothing like we have seen before. Them being a couple and doing photography made us so comfy posing and acting crazy; it was like spending the day with good friends! We really enjoyed their company every time we met and at the end we can truly say we made friends for life!

What were the highlights of your wedding day? 

(Bride) My dad walking me down the aisle, truly a moment I will never forget. (Groom) Knowing I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this stunning lady!

What was the “theme” of your wedding, and why? 

Our silver and purple wedding theme was elegant and fun all in one. We felt that it fitted both of us well.

What made you choose your wedding venue? What was your venue short list? 

For us, the Sandton Convention Centre has always been our dream Venue and when the Venue was available on our wedding date, it was just a sign! Other Venues we considered were Da Boir, Sibaya and Zimbali in Durban.

Did anything unexpected happen? 

(Bride) My parents getting lost on their way to the church and the wedding being delayed.

What every Bride should know: Do what works for the both of you, not everyone else, and enjoy every moment as the time just flies by.

What every Groom should know: It’s you future wife’s day and she has been planning this from the time she was a little girl!
