Ingaadi Spa Wedding by Ryan Parker

We would love share the wedding of Kobus and Esti that took place at Ingaadi Spa and Events Venue, Pretoria. Ryan Parker was there to capture their wedding day!

How did you decide on your wedding venue? What was your venue short list? Our shortlist was Chez Charlene, Green Leaves & Ingaadi Spa and Events Venue. Both of us immediately fell in love with Ingaadi and that was our final decision.

Were any of your family members or friends involved in planning the wedding and what were their contributions? My husband and I actually did everything on our own/by ourselves, we even made the invitations and the crystals for the décor. My bridesmaid and sister helped a lot with the small details (making of their dresses, guestbook etc.)

What was the “theme” of your wedding, and why? We did not have a theme for our wedding; we just wanted it to be plain, but with adding an elegant feel to it, so everything was white, with lights and candles everywhere, providing a very romantic atmosphere.

Choosing your photographer is always a tricky part in the wedding planning process. How did you decide on Ryan as your photographer? We had appointments with various photographers and I also went to the wedding expo for alternative numbers and further information. That is where we met Ryan. I saw his images and just loved his work!! My husband and I then went through all the options and finally decided on Ryan. He did our engagement shoot as part of the package and we just got along so well. He is a great person and makes you feel so at ease. His work is absolutely amazing!!

What every Bride should know: Start planning early and have everything organised in time. By doing as much as possible yourself, you can save a lot of money, as the last month or so usually reveals so many unexpected and extra expenses.

What every Groom should know: Plan ahead and ensure that every groomsman is aware of his responsibility. Be sure to have written your speech in time.
