Great Wedding Gift Ideas – The Ooh! Box

In the month of October we received our Ooh! Box and we are very excited to share this experience with you! Don’t know what the Ooh! Box is?! Well firstly it is one of the best wedding gift ideas! It’s a monthly box of food and wine goodies, which is delivered to your door. There will always be four different bottles of wine – from award winning, boutique wineries, to familiar farms of which wines you have never tried. Each bottle of wine is tagged with tidbits of info about the wine and always include recipes and ideas for alternative uses/applications for the products.

The food goodies include olive oils/ balsamic vinegar,  a hot drink (teas or coffees), something for your sweet tooth (such as chocolates, fudge or toffees) and a treat (which could be anything from Chestnut paste, to handmade biscuits, to olive paste). The idea is that you get goodies which make you go “Ooh!”.

Every month you will receive a delivery of a fresh selection of the best Wines, Olive Oils, Balsamic Vinegar,  Sauces, Coffees, Teas, Chocolates, Preserves and Tasty Treats… things that make you say ”Ooh!”.

Their current members love the surprise they receive each month – some even make it a family event, only opening the box once everyone is present! Membership is limited to only 1,000 people and they are growing monthly. Many see this as a monthly personal treat.

The price is R495 per month, including door-to-door delivery (the value of the box will always be in excess of R600 – the October Box for example was R680). Our October box contained the following: 2011 Yonder Hill Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007 Glen Carlou Syrah, 2010 Graham Beck Pinotage, Kanu Kia Ora Nobel Late Harvest, Bucks Ridge Olive Oil, Cinnamon and Orange Dark Chocolate, Strictly Coffee‘s House Blend and Eric Todd‘s Homemade Sauces.
