Little Pink Book held its sixth Western Cape Wedding Workshop at the brand new wedding venue Landtscap on Friday 14 September 2012 and we had so much fun! This wonderful event was coordinated by Jade from Jadé Customised Events.
Upon arrival, each guest received a spectacular Goodie Bag, hand crafted and designed especially for each bride by Vicky from Mocho Loco, filled with many gifts and other items. And of course, a brand new Little Pink Book! Each guest could choose their favourite from a selection of beautiful fabric hearts, made by Tanya from Studio Bloem.
Our venue for the evening, Landtscap, is the brainchild of Izétte and Piet Carinus. It has a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding Winelands. Their venue fee includes all glassware, cutlery, crockery and tables. If you are looking for a venue that really stands out above the average wedding venue, then Landtscap is perfect for you. They currently have a 30% discount on their venue hire for all functions and weddings until 31 December 2012!
Chefs Herman and André from Two Chefs were responsible for the delicious food served. They are based in Stellenbosch and cater for all types of functions. They believe great food makes for a great party! The food you serve at your wedding must reflect you and your partner’s personalities and it has to be delectable!
Our talented photographers for the evening, Stefan from ZaraZoo Exclusive Wedding Photography and Natelee from Glee Photography, gave the brides many valuable tips, i.e. spray tan is a big no-no as this will make you look orange, don’t use calming medication you have not used before as you don’t know the effect it will have on you and choose a venue providing both great indoor and outdoor photo characteristics and opportunities.
Tanya from Studio Bloem did a magnificent job of depicting our Coco Chanel theme in the flowers and décor. Her advice for your wedding décor and flowers is to be selective and wise on where you spend your money. Use the flower arrangements for the ceremony again at the reception. Flowers are very expensive nowadays, so find interesting ways to be creative and still achieve your perfect wedding look.
There are so many wonderful things we want to Blog about so… have a look at Part 2.
