Gauteng Wedding Workshop – Shepstone Gardens (Part 3)

We have come to the last part of our Gauteng Wedding Workshop. Click here for Part 1 and Part 2.

The wonderful cakes on display at the Wedding Workshop were made and decorated by Paul from Cake Extreme and Ricardo from Cake Mart. Each of the guests received a bag with samples of a few of their cakes. They even bake gluten-free cakes. No request is too big or too extreme. If you can dream it, they will make it!
By the time you choose your videographer, your budget is already pretty stretched out so you tend to leave that part out. This is the most common mistake/misconception brides have when considering a videographer, says Bernard from Pink Flower Productions. Videographers also capture very special moments and words during the wedding day that you can’t capture with photographs. Then, one day when you are old and grey, you can look back on and relive that special day. Bernard also showed us a new trend for wedding video’s in which the bride and groom, their family and all their guests sing to one of the couple’s favorite songs. In the end, it is all put together to form a Music Video. It is a fun and playful way to write the guest’s personal message.

The last session for the evening was Sharon from Silver Ribbon Registry. This online registry is every brides dream. No need to go to department stores and scan all the linens, scatter cushions, pots and pans you and your husband-to-be need. From glasses to garden accessories, Silver Ribbon is your one stop online gift registry. Once the gifts have been bought online by your guest, Silver Ribbon elegantly wraps the gift, write the guest’s personal message to you on a card, and  delivers the perfectly wrapped gift to your doorstep or anywhere in the world you’d like. This is the most perfect idea when you have guests living abroad.

As the wonderful evening drew to a close, it was time to hand out some great prizes. Our first lucky lady received a Magnum of Tradition from Villiera; Five ladies received a signed Aleit Coffee Table Book; a privileged bride got a voucher for R1000 discount on Flowers and Decor by Absolute Perfection; another lucky lady received a Coffee Table Book from Methode Cap Classique sponsored by  Aleit; Sinead from The Makeover Stylist gave a luck bride-to-be a complimentary masterclass in make-up; one lucky lady received a Yuppiechef voucher to the value of R500; and last, but not least, a very excited lady walked away with a complimentary Trash-The-Dress shoot from Alexander Smith Photography.

The Little Pink Book’s 4th Wedding Workshop was once again a great success. To each and every supplier that contributed toward making this Wedding Workshop as special as it was, thank you very much. Thank you for all your input, time and effort to help us create the perfect platform for service providers, suppliers and brides-to-be to interact, feel, taste and experience!
