Avianto Wedding Venue

Today Little Pink Book takes on a different approach – A Real Wedding from the photographer’s perspective. Gauteng based wedding photographer Alexander Smith photographed Sifiso and Lerato wedding at Avianto Wedding Venue. Alexander shares his story with us.

“I LOVE weddings – In fact I completely ADORE them. I get such a rush being privileged enough to capture the memories of a day when two become one and I truly consider it an honor to become an intimate part of the happiest day of a bride and groom’s lives.

I have a passion to capture every fleeting moment of emotion, as well as the little (and not so little) aspects that will make this day stand out from every other day in a bride & groom’s life. With my style strongly biased towards creative photojournalism, I candidly capture a wedding day from behind the scenes. For me, it’s the Shot between the Shots that stand out – those unposed moments when a couple is completely unaware of the photographer because they realise just how much they love their new spouse – to me that is priceless.

At Lerato and Sifiso’s wedding there were obviously more than enough photo locations at Avianto, a beautiful Gauteng wedding venue, but Lerato and Sifiso wanted something in a dilapidated building and tall grass too, so I scouted the Mulderdrift area and found two perfect locations nearby. Lerato was so brave and she couldn’t stop giggling, she was so excited, we all had so much fun… doing it differently!”

The couple immigrated to the USA shortly after the wedding, so this was a perfect way to compile a wedding album that they could take with them abroad as a reminder of South Africa – because there is no place like home!
