Wedding Diary Bride of the Year 2010

Little Book owners Stefan & Niki Steenkamp attended the lavish Wedding Diary Bride of the Year 2010 event on the 26th of November.  It was held at the impressive Cape Town Stadium and coordinated by The Aleit Group.  The event will be aired on Top Billing on the 16th of December.

The Wedding Diary is a comprehensive and exclusive wedding planning website.  Launched in March 2010 news spread like wildfire and to do date the site has hundreds of registered brides-to-be making use of its offerings. Carl Wallace, the owner, took his idea to the next level with a national “Bride of the Year” competition that offered amazing prizes to the winning bride.

After a public voting round, the 40 finalists were narrowed down to 12 contestants.  These 12 beauties from across the country paraded their gowns and answered some tricky questions at the black tie event on the 26th of November.  The judging panel included Patience Stevens (Top Billing), Carl Wallace (Managing Director: Wedding Diary), well known UK fashion designer now based in South Africa, Javaid and former Mr South Africa, Dieter Voigt.

The title of Wedding Diary Bride of the Year was awarded to Chanel Ferreira, who walked away with dream prizes which included, amongst others, a five-night stay at one of the world’s most luxurious private island resorts, Coco Palm Bodu Hithi, situated on the private island of Bodu Hithi, Maldives.

In addition she also took home a dress suit for him and her from Jagadi Haute Couture, a R12 000 Pick ‘n Pay shopping voucher, a Louis Vuitton watch and handbag, a Tag Heuer watch for her new husband, as well as being the Face of Wedding Diary for 2011.
