Actresses Hilary Duff and Odette Yustman Receive Engagement Rings

Sorry guys, but it’s official: Hilary Duff is engaged to be married to her hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie.
It’s no longer a rumor that the 22-year-old Disney diva, who recently appeared on Gossip Girl, would soon walk down the aisle. Her rep says that Mike Comrie, who plays hockey with the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers, did indeed propose. “Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii,” rep Nanci Ryder said Friday to ET Canada. “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.” The proposal came during the NHL’s two-week break for the Olympics. But a source close to the actress previously confirmed to E!Online that she got engaged to her boyfriend of more than two years while vacationing in Maui this week. On the other hand, it seems that Duff’s mother laughed off reports of her daughter’s engagement this week, just like the couple themselves did two years ago.

So, is this just another rumor? After all, this is not the first time the 29-year-old Comrie has given his beloved an expensive gift, fueling the rumor mill. For instance, in 2007, when he was with the New York Islanders, he bought Duff a Mercedes G Wagon for her birthday; two years ago, Duff was photographed sporting a big diamond ring on her wedding finger, making paparazzi speculate on a possible engagement. Well, it didn’t happen back then.

Furthermore, another American famous couple is rumored to be engaged. Star Dave Annable and actress Odette Yustman are reportedly engaged to be married as the 30-year-old Dave proposed to his 24-year-old girlfriend last weekend in Santa Barbara. It seems that ABC’s Brothers & Sisters will welcome a new member, as the wedding will take place until the end of the year.
Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on a wedding date for the happy couples, but we should all wish them ‘Congrats!’
