How did you meet? Richard and I met through a friend one night. We were both out and we were introduced. After that we kept running into each other. Finally after months of seeing each other, Sarah was out at the same place for her best friend’s Bachelorette party. That night they kissed and after that started dating.
Rich proposed to Sarah at a private club in the Bahamas. It is an amazing restaurant on the beach and we went there because it was Sarah’s birthday. After dinner we went upstairs for a drink on the veranda and he gave her a gift. The ring was wrapped in a shoe box because Sarah was sure he had bought her a pair of shoes, but once opened there was another box and inside that was the ring box. The wooden ring box was quite big as the ring came with a magnifying viewer to look at the diamond – it was laser inscribed on the girdle. Quite interesting!
It was fun!
How did you experience your wedding day?
The wedding day was amazing! Aleit and his team made everything so special and I didn’t stress about a thing! I was enjoying my champagne with my bridesmaids and more bottles just kept appearing. The wind came out of nowhere which was the only bad thing because it messed my hair up while walking down the aisle, but we laughed about the wind, there was nothing we could do. My entire wedding day and wedding weekend was amazing. We love looking at the photos!
Your best moment of the day?
I cant think of one best moment. I love it all. I guess I liked the moment standing with my dad before we walked down the aisle, and then the moment I saw Richard. That was special. Being with family and friends, but the best moment was seeing Sarah walk down the aisle!
Something good or great about us:-)
Everything was special about Aleit and his team. Hayley my wedding coordinator was fantastic!!!!! Everyone was amazing!! The day was better than I could have imagined and no one in the Bahamas could have done the same. The photos still look like a dream to me. I felt like really special that day because of their team and really looked after.
Tell us more about the honeymoon.
Richard and I came to South Africa for three weeks to have a wedding vacation with close friends and family. We went to Cape Town for new years and went on a safari. The trip was so exhausting we were ready to come home, back to the Bahamas. We had planned on travelling a couple months after for our honeymoon, but my sister got engaged, then found out she was pregnant, so her wedding was fairly quick after the engagement, so a lot happened which caused us never to plan anything. I am not upset about not having a honeymoon and Richard and I both love to travel and I know we will have many, many trips together.
Advice to other Bridal couples tying the knot soon.
Get Aleit!!!! Don’t even think about having a wedding without their team! Even with me knowing exactly what I wanted I still needed them to help put it all together. The wedding day I didn’t think about a thing, I knew it was taken care of and I knew everything was thought about!!
The other thing is really to love your photographer! The photos you will have with you forever. But you really want to talk about the photos you want with the photographer so that afterwards you don’t say you wish you had photos of certain things or people, etc. But the your photographer is really important and you got to love your photos of your special day!! I love ours!!!!!!
