Using proteas in your wedding decor

My brother is getting married in January in Clarens and would like to use the King Protea as their wedding flower. However, we get conflicting answers on whether these flowers are available during January. Can you confirm?

Well, you’re in luck because January is the perfect month for Proteas! All the varieties will be available including the amazing King Protea and the White Protea. If we can add a tip to this: it is always a good idea to mix your Protea with delicate flowers like antique roses, it just softens the look a bit. Also a brilliant idea is to place your proteas upside down in the vase, submerged in the water, it looks fantastic! Have fun designing your centre pieces and let us know if you need any more ideas or help.

Below is a list of flowers in season in January:

Agapanthus, Alstromeria Alstroomelias, Anthurium, Arum, Babies Breath, Brodia, Calla Lilies, Carnations, Casablanca Lilies, Chrysanthemums, Dahlias, Delphinium, Gerbera, Gladiola, Godetia, Golden Rod, Gyp, Heliconia, Hydrangeas, Hypericum Lace Latifolia Leather Leaf, Liatris, Micklemiss Daisies, Penny Gum, Proteas, Roses, St. Joseph lilies, Sunflowers, Yuccas, Zinnias.
