The summer months are undoubtedly the most popular time to celebrate a wedding. However, the weather can be scorchingly hot and it’s always a good idea to the strength of the African sun into account! Here are a couple of indispensable tips on how to keep things cool at a summer wedding:
• Choose a venue that has plenty of shade. If your ceremony or reception is indoors, be sure to check if there is air conditioning.
• Consider the time of your wedding. A late afternoon or early morning wedding might be a better option during the hot summer months.
• Offer guests plenty of refreshments at pre-ceremony...

Our advice for parents of the bridal couple is to opt for harmonious styling, but without worrying too much about being perfectly coordinated. A tie is sometimes the easiest and most elegant way for the father of the bride to incorporate the colour...

20 clients together with their partners attended the event, which was set apart by an exceptional array of delectable food. Guests enjoyed pre-drinks and canapés on the patio area while being entertained by a jazz duo. Afterwards they dined at one long table and enjoyed a bowl food menu, in which each chef prepared one course. These gorgeous photos...

Stephanie and Mark’s beautiful wedding was celebrated last Saturday at Clouds Estate. It was a hot and sunny day, the perfect setting for this elegant wedding which included decor details such as chandeliers, delicate pink and cream roses and elegant outdoor lounge furniture where guests could sit and take in the views.
Guests were also treated to an African music performance, as well as a game of croquet or two on the estate’s lush lawns. True to Stephanie’s Greek heritage, there were plenty of mezze platters and Greek dancing. We love these gorgeous photos by Ryan Graham; be sure to visit...

There’s no doubt that canapés offer the chance to create miniature works of culinary art, with all sorts of exciting flavours included in just a single bite. However, it’s not just the canapés that should be interesting; it’s also how you serve them! Gone are the days of dull trays or platters, today there are all sorts of fun options.

We ended up in a bar I never usually went to and were accosted (ok, so the 2 versions of this story vary!) by JP and his friends. Despite getting off to a rocky start (I thought he was Dutch and called PJ!) the rest is history!
How did he propose?
Despite one of the coldest weekends I can remember we had travelled to Cambridge for a post-Christmas weekend together. On the Saturday it was below freezing but JP insisted we should go for a traditional...
