The publishers of Little Pink Book are committed to the continual improvement of this excellent wedding planning tool.  Here are some of the changes you will see in the Gauteng Issue 1 and Western Cape Issue 2 due out this year:

Physical book:  People love the pink cover and the size is what sets us appart, so no changes there.  We will however put more titling on the spine of the book to increase visibility in retail outlets.  We will also add 48 extra pages, bringing the total number of pages to 240.

Content & Layout: Brides are happy with the content of the book.  Apart from updating it with market trends, we will also add more real weddings and more articles.  The content and writable sections of the book will be grouped together to simplify navigation.

Adverts: The range of adverts will stay the same.  You can book a directory listing, full page, double page, venue listing, coordinator listing and bookmark.  Adverts will now be grouped together, again to make navigation easier.  All adverts will be on glossy paper.  There will be a limit of 2 adverts per single advertiser.  The Little Pink Book is an exclusive book and advertisers are chosen to fit the standard and quality criteria.

Improvements & Changes to the Distribution of Little Pink Book:

Book allocation to advertisers: More books will go to the first point of call for the bride.  Venue listings will receive 20 books together with a counter top stand.  Other initial allocations as follow:  Directory listing – 1;  Full Page – 2;  Double Page – 4;  Coordinator listing – 2; Bookmark – 4.  More books can be applied for, free of charge, as long as they are given out to brides as gifts.  We are determined to get the Little Pink Book in the hands of the brides and not collecting dust in your office.

Increase in print run: With popular demand, we will increase the initial number of copies printed per issue from 2000 books to 3500 books for Guateng and 3500 books for Western Cape.  There is scope to print an additional 1500 books per issue with demand.  This is an increase of 350% on the number of Little Pink Books printed in South Africa last year!!

Retail of Little Pink Book:

  • The first issue for the Western Cape was distributed in numerous bookshops and retailers, including 10 of the 13 Exclusive Books stores.
  • The size (A6) of the Little Pink Book is our biggest asset for practical use, but also our biggest drawback when it comes to retail.  The book is smaller than 99% of other books on the shelves and simply gets lost between them.  This is why we developed a counter top stand, so that it can be displayed at checkout points of retailers.  We are confident that this will greatly increase both visibility and sales.
  • We will add to the number of physical & online retailers stocking the Little Pink Book.
  • Online retailers already stocking the book:  Kalahari.net  Amazon.co.za Aleit Shop Little Pink Book Website.
  • The retail price will remain R95 per book.

Other Distribution methods: Apart from the above methods, we also use various network based methods:

  • By forging relationships with other wedding community websites and magazines like konfetti.co.za and Cape Weddings, we offer Little Pink Book as prizes to brides.
  • We will also continue in lectures and public speaking engagements about wedding planning at wedding workshops linked to wedding shows.  Each attending couple usually gets a Little Pink Book free of charge. This year we already have a few engagements with the Tygervalley and Peninsula Wedding shows.
  • Little Pink Book will also have a stand and be sold at all major wedding shows in the Western Cape and Gauteng including the Wedding expo in the Dome.
