Didi de Wit, designer and owner of Didi Couture, wins the hearts and trust of her clients with her warm and entertaining nature. Her bubbly personality and innate creativity simply carry you away to an imaginary world where everything is possible and nothing is unattainable. Her clients appreciate the fun and relaxed way in which she guides them through the maze of options to find that elusive perfect dress.

Didi studied advertising, graphic design and pattern making, but realised early on the long term value of experience and lauched her career in clothing retail. After successfully opening four boutiques for a national clothing company, Didi’s career quickly evolved into clothing design. This dynamic woman is passionate about fabrics, accessories and colour, and she has turned her passion into a thriving business.

In 1993, Didi launched her first clothing label, Didi Clothing. Using her wellhoned business skills, her clothing design venture grew to include both styling as well as complete wardrobe planning. Four years later, she established her second label, Didi Couture, specialising in exclusive bridal and evening gowns. Didi’s vision was to highlight the use of exclusive fabrics, accessories and craftmanship to create dresses which would make the wearer feel like a princess.

Didi is truly a design visionary, sharing her knowledge of colour, texture and fabric to best highlight her client’s features. Her dedicated and highly skilled team of expert seamstresses, beading and handwork specialists make every dress a truly unique creation.
